We travel (actually just left this past Tuesday) to go across the US on the north side and then down the East Coast as the freezing temps start pushing us South. We then stay in the southern states until the freezing temps are gone in Spokane. Much of the time, we are in the high 30's or low 40's at night and we like to have the little electric heater to take the chill off rather than use the furnace. The furnace eats up propane by the gallons so you can reduce that amount by keeping the furnace at a temp that keeps everything from freezing and then use the space heater to keep the living area a little warmer. Most of last winter, we needed the heater every day. In fact, when we hit Arizona (which we should have had really nice weather) we sat for over 2 weeks in 5 degree temps at night.
