For those that are interested, I needed to run the generator for a couple of hours today for monthly maintenance, so I thought I would get the readouts on the different appliances, etc. Evidently, the converter (probably the battery charger) pulls about 3 amps; the front & rear TV don't even register, so probably less than 1 amp; the FAN on low or high pulls about 1 amp; the electric heat pump pulls about 16 amps; the fridge about 1 amp; the furnace fan less than 1 amp; and the microwave on high pulls about 12 amps. At one point I had both TVs on, the heat pump on, and the fridge on, and it was pulling about 24 amps total. So.......heat pump and microwave at the same time would be pushing real close to 30 amps. If the converter was on, it would probably trip a circuit. These figures are all based on the readout from the Progressive Industries surge protector system. :>)
