I have a question for any of you with the F-53. My 2011 chassis seems different than my 2009. I don't think I had the fifth gear in the tranny. With the new one I cruise at 1800-1900 rpms at 65 on level ground. It was more like 2400 on the 2009. When I get to a grade it gently and quietly kicks down to a lower gear and 2400 rpms. Just a much different feel and I think it helps the fuel efficiency about 1 mile per gallon but hard to tell because I have been in some terrible headwinds but still did ok. Anyone else notice a difference. I have not had much chance to use tow haul but will today as I will be in some steep grades through the coulees.
