bigcritter - I would love to know what your figures are when you come up with them on the amps. We have travelled in the heat and the cold and if the AC is on, I have to turn it off to use the microwave (if it will be on for a long time) I can run the coffee pot as we only have the kureg one cup at a time. If I was going to make a full pot, it might blow the breaker. This is all with normal TV, computers, fridge and some lights on electric. then you throw the electric water heater in the mix and not enough power. (We didn't have use of our electric heater until this trip as it never worked correctly and just had it repaired) Definitely had to turn off the electric heater to do any of the above. We blew the breaker so many times, that it broke and had to have a mobile service guy come out on a Sunday with one. He started rattling off the wattage on each appliance and it definitely adds up quick. He told us that these coaches should all be 50 amp as you cant operate them at 30 amp without being careful.
I was just reviewing all the posts on the forum here for the first time in a LONG time. :>( I remember that I was going to get all the figures using the Kill-A-Watt device, write them down, and post them on the forum. Well.....DUH!!! I completely forgot to post them, as well as to make a laminated copy to post on the inside of a cabinet in my MH. Well, if appears in reviewing that I did post some of them, but not everything.Well....I'm going out again this weekend to a local state park, and I will recheck all of my appliances and follow through this time on posting what I come up with. The last time we were out, it seemed that I was constantly turning stuff (just paranoid) to keep from tripping a breaker, and I told my wife that I need to check everything again and make that laminated copy to post for reference. I know that I'm turning off things when I don't really NEED to, so I will come up with as extensive a list as possible and post. Better late than never, right?? :>O Sorry that it's taken so long!! Still enjoying the heck out of my 30W. Is it 100% perfect? No, but it's awfully close. :>) Things I would change if I could: (1)Move the slides back 6 inches or shorten them to give me more cab seat reclining space. Being tall & long-legged, I like being able to recline more than I'm able to (especially on long trips) because of the slide being too close to the back of the seat. (2)More counter space. (3)I would prefer to have a regular window on the driver's side in the living room area, and have the TV above my buffet drop down into the cabinet below when not in use. We rarely use the cabinet below the table anyway, since it's 'kinda awkward to reach. (4)The toilet, because, well IT SUCKS!! This will be changed one day soon, as others on the forum have already done. Who designed this thing anyway, and WHO was it designed for, a 6 yr. old?? (5)Wishing I had my own closet on my side of the bed, and another foot of space on my side of the bed to walk. Other than that, it's a keeper!!! :>)
It would be very interesting to have, however, since I posted that we upgraded to the 33 sightseer, and it has a gadget that utilizes the power according to what it needs. If too much power, it will automatically shut something down. Pretty cleaver gadget.
