2010 Ventana

I'm thinking of purchasing a used 2010 Newmar Ventana 4333. Looking for some feedback, good or bad, on it. Very clean inside and out, mileage is only 9K.
  • Thanks for the comments everybody. I test drove it last Tuesday, and made an offer on it that was accepted. I'll pick it up next weekend, Sept 6. I wanted to get it today to use this weekend. But the wife said no, to wait.
  • We have a 2009 3942 Ventana with bunks that we use a lot. 50K miles so far.
Good quality coach. The Precision temp hot water heat is a source of frustration but after
4 yrs of dealing with it, I'm able to keep it working fine. and I would never buy another coach
without hot water heat. Chassis is great, drives fantastic. A few issues with some of the vinyl
fake wood pcs. and cabinets are not that well built. Don't let that "Amish Craftsmen" marketing mumbo jumbo fool you. Higher end Newmar's have more solid wood in their cabinets. Remember that the Ventana is Newmar's lower end DP and some corners have to
be cut to meet a price point. But overall we are quite happy with ours
  • We looked and drove a 2010 4333 and really loved the Comfort Drive. However we did not like several things about it that turned us off. First, it only had the ISC engine and in my opinion, was under powered. Secondly, if you open any of the overhead cabinets on the passenger side, you'll find about 50% of the interior of the cabinet is taken up with some sort of ducting that is boxed in. Thirdly, the tv placement were not to our liking at all. There were some other minor things, but really insignificant.

Newmar makes an excellent quality coach, we just couldn't find the one that we felt met all our needs. If this one is to your liking...I don't think you can go wrong with it.

  • We just purchased a 2011 Ventana 3433 about a month ago and still can't get over the workmanship and quality of the coach. I checked on Newmar's site for a 2010 brochure for the Ventana but there isn't one listed. If you can get the VIN number, you can call Newmar and get a build sheet if that helps. There would also be a record of any work done at the factory and I'd think any warranty work done anywhere. You might request a brochure. I'm sure if they have an electronic copy, they'd send it to you.

From what we were told, you should be able to get the records of maintenance work or repairs done on the chassis by calling the manufacturer. Ours is on a FL chassis but the '09 may have been Spartan. That year is pre DEF if that matters to you.

Based on our experience which isn't a lot, the Ventana is a great model and Newmar is a respected manufacturer who has been in business for years, even through the crash when so many manufacturers went belly up. Of course, how the coach has been maintained is really important.

I think that was about the time the big crunch hit and there were very few 2010 coaches built.

    Good luck!
