- There are 8 bolts/nuts. On the bottom of the electric mount you will see 4- 1/2 wrench nuts that come off the studs. Then you disconnect the 2 wire 12 volt harness plug below the pedestal mount behind the chair. Depending on the Seat/shoulder belt arrangement, you may have to remove the seat belt bolts on each side of the mount pedestal. THEN (chair with electric mechanism is heavy and bulky), you lay the chair down in the aisle by the couch and you will see 4 bolts(also 1/2 inch wrench) with nuts and a 3/8 deep washer for each bolt that you remove to remove the electric mechanism from the seat. You will also have to remove the 6 way seat switch on the side skirt and they usually have just 2 screws. You also have to remove the seat swivel cable mount from the bottom of the seat pedestal. DO THIS FIRST!. Doug
- rgatijnet1Explorer IIIMost captains seats have 4 bolts to remove entirely them WITH the base or 4 smaller bolts to remove just the seat from the slide mechanism. The electrics just unplug. Pretty simple but the bolts can be a little difficult to reach and you need to be careful with your fingers so you don't pinch them.
