I wanted to update this thread with where I am at. My Leprechaun has been in the shop getting its water leak resolved since August 31. I believe they have all the parts assembled now and I expect that with reassembly and painting they should have it done some time next week, 7 weeks in the shop this trip, and I have no faith that it will be right.
I came to the conclusion that I just wanted out of this deal because I will never feel good about it. I approached my dealer about giving me the purchase price of my Leprechaun as trade on a new unit and I would just move on. I was told that wasn't going to happen and that I was looking for them to purchase back my Leprechaun and then some. All I want is what I paid for. If I had any idea what I was getting into with this purchase it would never have occurred.
I spent the afternoon with my attorney doing the paperwork to file a claim using Florida's Lemon Law and also exploring other legal options. The notifications to Coachmen and the dealership go out tomorrow. I will update this thread as things happen.
Bravo bravo
I think your patience has been exemplary.
I hope other dealers get the word and that Coachman begins to realize they are loosing buisness because of this type of /lack of response to a rather serious customer issue.
On the down side, my DW is really pissed because I have now refused to purchase a Leprechaun, which she fell in love with at first sight.
Like you, I would never feel good about a situation like that and camping should be for stress relief not stress addition.
Thanks for doing this
