My understanding is that the aircon is sized for the interior of the Sprinter, in our case, an 11000 btu unit. This obviates excessive humidity buildup inside. The smaller units are supposed to be sized for the interior space. The output of ours is adequate up to 90 to 95 degress but it depends, as people note, on the overall heating conditions inside and out. In a shady area on an Edmonton street at about 100 degrees more or less I was able to run the aircon with the generator and cool down the interior to 85 degrees in about 40 minutes. We survived. In hot places like in Texas or Arizona it must be quite a challenge. I dont see any solution unless you can install a higher output unit and deal with moisture buildup on windows etc.
