Personal opinion from a 2 time class B owner is you should go for the Ascent.
The floorplan on the RT is backwards in that when you are standing at the kitchen counter, you are staring at your neighbor's RV rather than your campsite.
Look where the refrigerator is in the SS. It's on the floor, where on the PW it's at eye level. Think about all the bending over to get in there on the RT.
Another thought I have is ever since RT changed owners during the economic downturn, their quality seems to have suffered. We know 4 folks that have bought RT's since 2011, and they make regular trips back to the shop for lengthy visits for repairs, all 4 of them. (one of those had to go back to the factory)
Our first class B was a PW Lexor, and during the time we owned it, we had one small wood trim repair which was taken care of immediately. They are family owned, and have been all along.
Whichever one you get, go for the new 4cyl/7 speed transmission combo. Much better fuel mileage, plenty of power
