I have a 2014 CRV and tow it four-down with no problems. Called Honda when I first got it (Mar 2014) to verify and they read me the manual stating it could be towed and how to do it.

As stated if they do go to a CVT trans in 2015 the automatic will not be towable four-down. Subaru went to this type trans and now state that a manual trans is the only one that can be towed.
