NOT if he is still plugged into 50 amp 120 service which seems to be what he stated. Inverter ON and connected to 120 service, the Inverter is NOT ON, but in standby mode. ALL 120 supply is pass thru, thru the Inverter, but NOT Inverted power. IF you lose 120 power TO the Inverter, the Inverter will come on as long as it is in Standby mode and then go OFF Inverter current when 120 power restored. Doug
