2015/2016 models with 2 baths, bunks choices

Just got back from two days in the Dallas/Fort Worth area looking at all those I listed, along with two Class A toy haulers, The Thor Outlaw and Newmar Canyon Star.

Of the models I originally listed, the Winnebago 35B was my choice for several reasons (quality seemed slightly better than the others IMHO, and a few just personal preferences like shower size vs the Georgetown, etc..)

But, I surprised myself and actually made a deal and deposit on a 2016 Newmar Canyon Star 3921 toy hauler. Though I don't get the 2nd bathroom I thought I wanted, it just felt like the right choice for our future uses.

To start with and the Main reason(though you do pay for it in a $20,000 to $50,000 more price compared to my list), the quality just seems quite a bit higher on it compared to any of the others. I was really impressed with the quality of materials and workmanship throughout.

Secondly, though the garage will come in handy and keep me from having to pull my motorcycle trailer behind the motorhome, the garages many potential uses seemed very desirable to me. Be it the 2 full queen (one is even larger than that) bunk beds that will be great for both kids and I feel adults over say small dinette sleeping. Or, secondly, the way the bottom bunk bed (you can raise up the top one for very nice headroom) converts to a two facing each other benches with a large table between to make a very large (6 good sized adults) picnic table eating station. (I think this will be our main dining area on all trips).

Lastly, raise up both bunks and lower the tailgate and there is a screen that comes down to cover the large opening and you have a screened in porch area for those buggy nights while you sit and enjoy the evening outside.

I now have to anxiously wait the couple of weeks to get back down their (7 hour one way drive for me) to close on it and bring it home!

Not trying to rain on your parade, but have you considered the holding tank sizes? With that many people you will have to be constantly having to dump. And adding a washer and dryer? Also remember that you will only have a 6 or 10 gallon hot water heater.
Unless you are in a campground nightly, you will be hauling full holding tanks daily.

I've had a local dealer basically threaten me that if I don't buy from them I may not be able to get my unit serviced by them or no telling how long it would take to get service. The RV industry is a racket. It is unfortunate for folks that like RV'ing, including myself, that we go into this hobby knowing that we are going to be disappointed and that we have no choice in the matter other than giving up the hobby.

5-15% equaling about $7500-$22,000 would cover an amazing extended warranty.

I too have been looking at similar units and have come to the same point. If I buy local I am spending $10-$20k more to get "better" after the sale support. Thats some COSTLY support!

The Winnebago 35B models only sleep one in the drop down front bunk. All other units sleep up to 2 (500-750 pounds limit).

I have also looked at all the units you mention and have concluded that the least cost unit is the Coachmen Mirada 35BH but you can feel why when you are in the unit. The quality of the materials they use does not feel as good as all the other bath and a half bunk models. Plus, without the second slide in the bedroom on the Mirada, not as easy to get around the bed to use the rear bath. What I do like about the Mirada is that Coachmen uses AZDEL in their sidewalls. I wish more manufacturers used the AZDEL product. The less wood in the RV, the greater it's longevity. What I like about the Challenger and Bounder is the king bed option and the washer/dryer prep. Either of these options is not available on the Mirada. Now the challenge is finding a dealer that is not going to rip you off. They say to buy local but if that option ends up costing you 5-15% more, is it worth buying local?

We have the sunstar 35b really nice, and have had no problems with it. some Ours is a 2013, have seen the newer ones with a pull down bed over the driver and passenger seats, probably sleeps two up there, plus two in the bunk beds, two in the bedroom, two on the sofa air mattress bed, and one or two depending on the size on the dinette bed. Ask me anything you would like to know about this unit.

My Fleetwood rear bath uses a vacuflush toilet (popular in boats) to Whoosh the rear toilet waste to the one black tank that is under the hall bath. I thought most of these 2 toilet units were like that.
