2016 E450 Motorhome

Hello All,
I recently purchased a 2016 Forester with the E450 Chassis. It currently has 2300 miles and I've noticed that when the motorhome is moving and I turn the steering wheel I hear a knocking sound. Driving straight on the interstate no problem. I checked the CV joints, tie rods, and bushings and everything looks tight.
I had a Ford dealer put it on the rack and they couldn't find anything except for replacing the left shock. However the tech didn't think that was causing the knock.
Anybody have any ideas?
Thanks in advance
John
  • If it has a limited-slip differential it may need a special Ford lubricant additive. I had a similar problem with our last E350.

Kinda left field stuff, but I've seen both:

    1. Steering Box loose on Frame

    2. Transport hardware left dangling from Chassis. The completed RV was driven to the dealership, but at one point the chassis was probably transported on a carrier.
  • Take the mechanic for a ride and demonstrate the problem. FYI, there aren't any CV joints on it.
