You might to back and revist the Vixen21 which is the gas version - not the VixenTD which is the diesel version. The gas version, which is what I had for a couple of years, is done differently than the diesel version. In the gas version a 6'3" person, me, could stand up with hat on as it has a permanent "bubble top" instead of the VW style pop up top. The gas version also had some other features that the diesel one did not have like roof AC and a generator.
It has a Buick V-6 engine and transaxel in the rear for power. Mine got 20mpg overall and could take 6% grades at 55mph. The queen bed is in the rear over the engine and helps keep it very quiet. I would have to either look at guages or open window to hear engine to know if it was running or not at idle. Zero wind noise at speed.
I would still have the coach except that it was just a little too small for me. But it sounds like it would be just right for the OP.
Also note that there is an active owners club that helps with keeping them maintained.
