212 from Billings to Yellowston

I'm contemplating taking the Beartooth hiway into Yellowstone in a 40 ft DP towing a CRV. Any issues anyone can think of?
  • PS/I watched a video of someone's drive on YouTube ahead of time, which helped me to relax during the actual drive...
  • We did it in the other direction and were fine, but be prepared for a very long climb right off the bat: about five miles, during which you gain several thousand feet. The switchbacks are long, though, so it didn't seem that bad on the descent. The road is pretty wide and there are shoulders and guardrails. It is a very beautiful drive and you will be glad you did it! The speed limit is around 35, and everyone seems to pay attention to that, which helps, especially on the turns where visibility is limited.
