I would recomend a bigger unit with a couch/bed and a dinnete, remember that some times it rains and one needs to be inside, kids get cabin fever a lot faster than the adults and having a little more room to spread out helps, the dinnete his handy for playing games and using a lap top or what ever, the couch/bed comes in handy also if your kids bring friends along, most of the time one is out side the unit but that rainy day is when one regrets not getting the bigger unit.
We have a 24' and it is perfect for the wife, cat and I, one item that we did is to have everything that is needed to cook, wash, bathe and dress together with dishes "Corel brand" and plastic glasses all ready to roll, we like to drive out to the dessert on weekends and all we have to do is place the perishable items in the fridge the night before, the unit is hooked to current at home and the fridge is always cold, get home on Friday and off we go, come back Sunday evening.
