30 amp coaches with ECC

How do you run ONLY one AC on coaches with Electronic climate control? I'll be plugged into a 20 amp circuit for a bit later this week, and I don't want the ECC to try to turn on the 2nd AC and trip a breaker.

My panel just has one breaker labeled "AC".

It's a 2008 Fleetwood Fiesta. My ECC absolutely does run two AC's just fine. It's doing it right now. It just keeps them from starting up at the same time, and if I turn on the microwave, it shed's one of them.

The only determining factor in whether one or both AC's come on is how hot it is inside the coach. If it thinks it needs both to cool it down, it runs both.

Yeah the EMS has that option, but the ECC doesn't. The manual says the ECC won't function correctly on a 20 amp circuit, and that load management has to be done manually. It also says to only run one AC at a time, but it doesn't say how to do that.

  • Not sure how yours is but my motorhome only has a 30 amp plug and has 2 ACs. I have a switch inside one of the upper cupboards that switches to front or back.( one at a time only ). Only my generator can run both if needed.
