I've heard comments along these lines a number of times. Has anyone actually got a real, verifiable example of someone being stopped anywhere in the US and ticketed for driving a mainstream manufactured motorhome that's 40 feet or longer without a special license or certification?
if one ever runs into me, the subject will be brought up to the investigating officer.

The odds are it will happen in va. We do not require and special endorsements for private RVs. More likely, the heavy fiver with the passenger plate will get you in trouble.
