454 Chevy engine backfires
Replaced a 454 engine last fall, drove it about 350 miles and put it in storage for 6-7 mos. when i got it out,it started backfiring under a hard accel. Any suggestions//

Check the coils. We had one go bad and anytime it got hot and I needed power it would backfire and shut us down. I was sure glad when we finally found out what the problem was and got it fixed. Not a problem since.
