454 Chevy engine backfires
Replaced a 454 engine last fall, drove it about 350 miles and put it in storage for 6-7 mos. when i got it out,it started backfiring under a hard accel. Any suggestions//

Hard one to answer, could be several things from coil, plug, plug wires, distributor, to timing setting.
A little more information about the 454 will help. What year?, Is it carb, TBI, FI, single coil, coil per plug?
