454 Head back on engine started #7 piston noise

My experience has been--A knock when cold but quiets down when warm is piston related. A double knock sound is usually a piston pin problem. A knock that quiets with the plug wire removed is usually a rod bearing (too much clearance).
Keep us posted what you find.
