Sounds like the open ground is not at the pedestal end of the 30A power cord, So it must be between the Transfer Switch (if there is one) and the AC Distribution Panel. Look for the point where the AC Distribution Panel Box bonds to the RV Chassis. That is probably where you will find the intermittent problem. Again, you are not looking for an intermittent short, you are looking for an intermittent OPEN some where between the RV Chassis and the Pedestal Grounds.
