Mudshovel,
Did you take the silly wings off the rear corners? Looks like they used to be there.
My brother's Shasta had a lot of particle board in the cabinetry. Big problem when he had a water leak....it started disintegrating.
:) I was going to mention that my motorhome had wings, I'm sad to say they didn't come with the motorhome :( I have plans to find some or make a new set.
I looked into this when I got this thing because I was unaware that Shasta put wings on there motorhomes, let alone this new (lol) of a motorhome, thought it was just one of them sixties things and I can't find any info on this and have not found one picture of any year Shasta MH or later trailers they made with wings installed. one person wrote that it was an option and was rare but there don't seem to be any info out there. I was thinking of starting a new topic on that.
You know whats funny about this Shasta's cabinet's there 95% solid oak, only the door face is fake with real oak eadge frame, I've never seen cabinets made like that. There in good shape mostly, just need a light scuff and some new finish, was even thinking of replacing the fake panel with real panels!
The real only particle board used was the sides of the couch and there damaged at the floor line and will have to be rebuilt a little bit, but the dinette is soild oak front and pine frame I don't think they knew what they were building.
