Hi,
I have a 1987 Windcruiser. The water hook up you show is for city water like you thought. I also replaced the twin beds with a full sized mattress that runs crosswise of the motorhome. I moved the water tank and the fill receptical to the passenger side of the coach. On mine the waterheater is on the passenger side and the water tank is right behind it now with the filler near the back of the side wall, it has worked out fine. I didn't need to do much else to the coach as everything was in good shape. It is a nice motorhome and has served us well for the last 9 years.
Good luck with your project.
