I'm finally back, and with many more questions! Thanks, for the help so far, and sorry I haven't responded sooner, work and weather kept me from working on the rv for more than a couple months (unfortunately).
But, it is now home (engine and powertrain are in suprisingly (to me) great shape; it hadn't run in over a year, so I got a mechanic to look it over before I drove it home. Aside needing a new battery and a little gas in the carburetor to start up, it ran pretty well. I eventually want a complete tune-up and think it needs a front end alignment. Also seriously hope it needs new shocks, I felt like I was in the world's best bounce house, and that better not be normal.
Thw two current project are the roof (the rear is leaking pretty badly) and the locksets. The vehicle was a donation to the Kiwanis Club (who I bought it from, they didn't know what to do with it) and for some reason, all the keys were lost. Any idea on where to get locksets to replace the ones in the doors and ignition (the Kiwanis Club took a drill to the ignition, so now any key will start it)?
There's a ton of information on the about roof leaks, so I'm planning on the the aluminum tape and EPDM white roofing for repair, hopefully will be able to start this weekend. And hopefully more pics to come.
