91 Pace Arrow auxiliary switch

Well….I changed both the house and engine batteries and now the engine will start without pushing the auxiliary switch. So I’m thinking I had a bad connection at the engine battery and lost power so just the alternator was giving power then I beeped my large horns when driving everything shut off.
I think I need a new alternator now?
