92 cummins 5.9 info please
Does anyone have experience with early 90's 5.9 Cummins with Allison 4 speed trans? Coach is Monaco 32 Footer.would like to know about reliability,MPG etc... Thanks

Very reliable. The Cummins 5.9 6BT 12 valve engine is bullet proof and very reliable. They did have a pump problem, but I'd guess your has been replace long ago. The Allison MT 643, which I would guess it has, has been proven in countless garbage trucks, fire trucks, and even buses around this country. I get 10 mpg with mine, with a 2600 lb toad, running the open road. I would say conservatively that you should get at least 9 mpg + with it. I gross under 24,000 lbs GCWR. Have 126,000 miles on mine.
