It is attatched on or near the steering column under the dash. The brake pedal is what operates it. All you need to do is take one wire off it and you are good to go. If it works right the solinoid will snap when you depress the brake pedal, this may help you locate it. By taking a wire off you no longer have the protection of having to put the brake down to shift out of park. I disabled mine a couple of years ago for the same reason. Price; "Free"
