Nothing wrong with a GBM, not in my book.
We had an 89 Encounter before the HR we have now & only thing bad about it was the carbed 460 engine. Make a trip, work on the engine.
There were things on the Encounter, I wish we had on our HR, like built in vaccume system & most of all 50 amp service, "WHERE BOTH 13,500 A/C COULD BE RAN AT ONCE" in the summer time when its "REALLY" needed.
Kills me, companys build an RV cost as much as they do & then put 30 amp service in them.
Ol GBM had a 6500 watt Onan genset in it & you talk about power, we could park, run everything in the M/H, both A/C units & connect everything in the enclosed trailer, lights/compressor & it never staggered.
Lord help this 5500 we have now in the HR, been nothing but problems.
Looks like the MFGs, would wise up after a while & start installing Honda gensets in them & end a bunch of headakes for us RV owners, but then again, that world remove the engineered & built in failure of a part ordeal we have to put up with to keep us buying something.
