Mine would roll forward and backwards when I first bought it. The brake shoes can be adjusted like any other drum brake. There is a star wheel inside the drum on the end of the transmission and a slot to get to the star wheel on top of the drum, you can tighten this wheel with a large flat bladed screw driver or a brake adjusting tool. Rear wheel need to be off the ground so you need to chock the front wheels so the MH does not roll while adjusting brakes. Read some of Oldusedbears posts to understand how the system works. I have adjusted mine twice over the years.
