The exit strategy is an important not to be overlooked item.
In my case, we're young, 56 and 51. I want to retire and go now, wife seems to need that "permanent home." Talking out loud about "finding just the right place" to settle after travelling a couple years seems to have been the key to getting her onboard.
As for the DP maintenance myth, itsa myth.
As for the use it or lose it myth, thatsa myth too.
Last year, we didn't get to go out much, 10 days last spring, plus 2 local nascar weekends was it. Our DP has spent most of last year and 2 winters parked in a full hookup seasonal site.
We do "camp" nearly all summer weekends, and when we want to go somewhere, I expect to just twist the key and go.
Worked every time so far.
