- Empty_Nest__SooExplorerI belong to a number of forums for a variety of interests. Some do not allow "for sale" posts, others have a separate category for "Marketplace" which is sometimes broken down into sub-sections for whole vehicles, parts, etc. I bought a slightly used car (2700 miles)from 1000 miles away some years ago on the S2000 Forum. When it is a separate category, there is no need for those who do not wish to see adverts to click on the categories that offer items for sale. And the sales items do not clutter up the categories for help or discussion.
Obviously, each forum's rules are determined by those who own the forum (and its server.) The owner also has the discretion to zap offending posts, and even the ability to ban the offending user if necessary.
Wayne - robatthelakeExplorerPersonally I prefer Not to see any Classifieds on this site! we get enough Commercials on the net these Days without adding clutter here!
If You want to sell Your RV take to the Walmart in Port Alberni BC! Their Front Parking Lot looks like HELL with all sorts of RV,Boats and other Stuff for sale by owner. It escapes Me why they allow this******to accumulate! - JimExplorer

Personally don't think the OP posting the year, brand, and model and asking us where we thought the best place to advertise it is a violation of the rules here. Either directly or indirectly. They'd be asking for help with their RV and that's what this forum is about.
Neither do I think that it's a moral issue.
While your at it, throw in the length, color, list of access., mileage, condition, asking price, and then ask where is the best place to sell it. :S
Can't see why not. - peaches_creamExplorer

name what you have and ask where you could get the most responses from buyers.
Yeah! THAT'S the way to do it!!!.why abide by the rules when you can discreetly violate them...:S:S:S.......Dennis - bigred1cavExplorername what you have and ask where you could get the most responses from buyers.
- AllegroDNomadI believe it is because they do not want this forum to turn into a sales site, more than wanting to sale you something. Regardless of the reason, this freely provided forum, provides a great place to share and help. Not having a sales section is easily abided by.
