I think the reason I mentioned the length was more for my wife's benefit as she will definitely drive this but wouldn't touch towing. After towing with a 15 passenger van and 27' travel trailer I'm ok with the length.
Good information - not sure on the roof. My wife talked to the owner of the Four Winds tonight and liked what she heard but we'll have to check it out. With a 2002 model year I'm hoping the spark plug issue won't be a problem.
To me the slideout is a luxury and adds weight. When we camp (or at tournaments) we're only in the rig for eating and sleeping. And the family will just continue to get smaller as the kids get older - two more are gone in the next two years and then we're down to two left.
