I really think the answer to that depends mostly on how much money you can stand to part with to sustain this "hobby".
I have a Winnie going on 10 years old. It has about 50K miles on it.
It is showing its age a bit but works perfectly......after fixing a few things of course.
Since I don't have a lot of money to throw around, I expect it will last another 10 years......and it may outlast me with the next owner.
But I also realize that it wouldn't be acceptable for some folks because it does not LOOK all shinny and new anymore.
