Not sure exactly where OP is but in Clearwater we got about 2 inches of rain with the "tropical storm" June 6th, wind never got over 20mph and I live 2 miles from the Gulf of Mexico. Actually we need more rain, my lawn is drying up. We are entering the summer rainy season, so thunder storms are possible at any time. If you don't mind 90 degree temps come on down. Hurricane season doesn't really get started until the middle of August. That being said, I have lived in Clearwater for 34 years and never seen a huricane. Legend has it that the Seminole Indians used to come to the Tampa Bay area in the summer because it never got hit by hurricanes. The last one to hit Pinellas County was 1922.
