As you can see it gets significantly more rain than the average for a city in the USA. From my experience of living here since the 40's, a lot of the storm fronts seem to cross the state in the upper half and the Spring Hill area, and The Villages get a pretty good share of the rain that falls in Florida. I remember when Spring Hill was first developed and that area is where we used to go hunting for bear and wild hogs. The hardest thing for most newcomers to get used to is the high humidity. That is why we have AC. :)
