June-October is our rainy season. Tampa Bay, which includes Spring Hill, will average 7-10 inches of rain per month during that time of year. Last summer was particularly wet. We had over 14 inches in July. The rest of the year it is 2.5 inches to 4 inches per month. I've owned a nursery and landscape business in the Tampa Bay area for 31 years. I know our weather pretty well, it's part of my job.
That is why I posted articles from the local newspaper because I just want to point out how incredibly lucky you are to live in a place that only got 2" when the rest of the county got a lot more rain, including flooding. Obviously a miracle.
