A macerating toilet

This would make life easier in a Class B. I think the low profile runs about $1000. Not that much if your buying a new $100,000 + Class B.
Maybe it's not too late for Davydd to upgrade his new Advanced RV.

Well, I, at least, DID read the post. And I, too, am wondering what the principle is here. What exactly are the advantages of this toilet? I have no interest whatsoever in performing a gravity-fed dump (except in an emergency) when I have a fully-sealed, germ and odor free macerator dump system. Why do I need a second macerator at the toilet?

my question also. two things to go wrong?

We had a macerator on our boat, and it worked OK. I've read posts about Class B macerators causing repair issues, so I'm sticking with gravity. It works, no problems.

Please accept my humble apology. I stopped reading at "macerator toilet system."

  • No, you add a second macerator for the tanks, and there should be far less problems with the second one because everything is already macerated.
  • If I have issues with clogging, etc. with my macerator, I can just remove it and use a stinky slinky. what is involved with one of these toilets to unclog it?
but this only pushes waste to the holding tank. one of the benefits of my macerator is that it pushes waste cleanly to the rV dump, with this you still need a stinky slinky? getting stuff to the holding tank is not the problem IMHO. haven't they done that with vacuum or something on units with 2 potties?
