A V/S C

Due to age / health my tt is becoming a bit much for me with the hookup and setup. Thinking of a motor home rather than quitting.
Has any one done a pros and con comparison between As and Cs of the same length ? Does one have the advantage over the other?
Thanks
Cal

  • Driving the Cs seems claustrophobic to me. You get a much better all around view in a class A.
Also the cab becomes part of the living space which makes an A of the same length as a C somewhat larger.
The outside storage compartments on the As are typically higher and easier to get into for those those of us that don't as easily as we used to.
  • While not "Truism's" here are my thoughts.

    1) Class A's have larger tank sizes.
    2) Class A's have more storage capacities
    3) Class A's have a better view from the front seats while driving and while parked thus giving a better feeling of space.
    4) Class A's look better except for the streamlined C's that some call a B+.
    5) Class A's make better use of the driver area seats while parked.

    6) Class C's have better sleeping options for families.
    7) Class C's are easier to get out of at fuel stops

Both can have auto levelers, both have a learning curve when backing up, and are about the same to setup once you are in your spot.

Good luck in your decision process.
  • If you are not able to hook up the TT then how are you going to do the same with a class A or C. Plus if you tow that will be more to do. Good luck.
