AARP/The Hartford roadside assistance

The one tow I had done cost $650...I paid up front and was reimbursed...cuz the shop wasn't on their "list".
The tow was less than 3 miles......but the truck had to come from a distance.
If your down in a small town..........finding someone to handle a big coach was the toughest hurdle.

Maintenence makes for more trouble free travel......but.....they can and will break!
Be prepared....(boy/ girl scouts??)

Interesting how many comments from people that don't have that insurance and don't know anything about it.

It's good to know the Hartford has good roadside emergency coverage. I have had the Hartford through AARP for 3 years and have been very satisfied with them. It has been much better than progressive or Geico I had previously.

Been towed once....used Hartford. Nothing local could handle my coach so they sent a monster rig from Illinois to Sikeston Mo...(about 50 miles)..and towed us to the nearest qualified? shop.....a
freightliner dealer/ shop.

We have both good sam's and the included RV coverage with our Hartford policy.

I've used both with very satisfactory results.
..and yes, sam's policy goes thru/ is? allstate.

We have our autos/ RV/ houses/ all thru Hartford.....they have been super good to us over the years.
They started covering rental property the last couple years or so.
Motorcycle is thru a branch of Hartford....Foremost.

Hartford has a 'no cancel' clause.....(unlike my wife:R....)

The difference in coverages is just where will they tow you. Insurance company coverages will usually get you towed to a safe location.

Coverages like Coach Net, and I assume Good Sam, will tow you to the nearest qualified repair facility. Big difference.

I have it also the info says its specific Rv insurance it's a benefit provided at no cost with Hartford ( the real insurance company contracted to Aarp) Rv policy
I also still had good Sam roadside which I have used ...( good results and follow up )
Normally these things are contracted out .. Good Sam uses Allstate ..they answered the phone Allstate roadside ... And then said I mean good Sam roadside ;-)

Same here...don't trust AARP, much less an auto policy from anybody.

I think FMCA also has roadside assistance. Anyone used it?

Is this auto or a specific RV coverage? Call them and ask about the coverage. If they have issues, do as dons2346 states. I have a specific MH policy with GEICO, which incl. roadside assistance. It is clear that they cover MH.
