Sticking caliper is the leading culprit, IMO. On my MH I will first notice that the pedal gets firmer as the first warning sign. It is them time to stop and check things out and to let the brake cool.
The lack of reliability and quality control in MHs keeps me from buying new. (That and the fact that no manufacturer seems to want to make a 30' model as space-efficient as the one I already own.)
