Have a new 2014 Winnebago Sigheseer. Recently I've noticed that when I have the fridge mode set to Auto(AU), propane turned on, and then disconnect from AC, the fridge doesn't switch over to propane as it should. The only thing we've done to the unit since getting it was to install a surge protector. Don't think that would have anything to do with it. Suggestions? Thanks

Are the propane tanks turned on? Have you "purged" the gas lines of air by lighting the stove burners for a bit?

I had the same problem with I purchased my 2009 Winnie.1st make sure you purge the gas lines.. light a burner on the stove and let it run a minute to get the the air purged. If you can't get the stove to light then you have another problem.2nd open the cover to the refrigerator and find the refrigerator gas solenoid. There is a manual shut off (knurled knob)on the solenoid and this was the problem on my fridge. Just turned the valve on and mine started to work.Let me know how you make out.

It will NOT switch IF the refer is not in cooling mode. Unless the tstat has called for cooling, it will not switch. Once it calls for cooling it should switch. OPEN the door for a few minutes next time you un hook and see if it does not switch since opening the door will cause the tstat to ask for cooling. Doug

If it does NOT light on LP due to a LP supply problem you will get a check or error code on the refer and the OP does not state he gets any such code. Doug

Ok If the lights are on it means you have 12 volts.

It may wait till it calls for cool before it switches, that can take a while

or.. Even if it does not wait it can take a minute or two.. I know there are times when I wish to FORCE gas mode (Last week for examnple) Now last week I got it to work properly but either the Fridge, or I needed some work (Not sure which) on that so in the past I turned off A/C then waited,,, I knwo it took quite a while before it switched.. Then I'd tap the auto button and restore power to the other devices on that line.

(Finaly figured out you lean on the bitton for a while to force and lock)

Fridge dropped 10 degrees overnight on gas.

and one more thing, even on gas the frig needs 12volts from your battery ,or it just won,t work.
