A/C fan shutting off

New Sunseeker with a Dometic 15K air conditioner. After running for about 5 minutes the fan cuts out for about 5 seconds but the compressor will stay running. It does this several times and then it acts normal. During this time the incoming voltage is probably marginal at about 110v. Have only been out once with it in hot weather so have not had a chance to characterize it further. Contacted Dometic and got a generic statement back that "when operating at anything other than 120v it may not act normal". Anyone else experience the same?
  • My Dometic doesn't do that. Try various fan speed settings and see if it does the same. Or does it just do it on the auto setting? I doubt it is voltage related at 110V unless the AC unit itself is seeing less than that at it's location.
  • I will run my Coleman AC down to 108v and I have seen it dip to 106v and keep running. 110V seems adequate but I don't know the operating specs for your unit. I do know there have been a number of these type of reports recently, more than I recall previously.
  • not good to run the AC on low voltage. It could damage the AC unit. Our RV has a power management system that will shut off power to the RV if the voltage is too low, too high or bad ground.
