AC Relay

We have a 1999 Flair by Fleetwood and the Dash Air blows warm air. I would like to over ride the Relay for the AC so that i can make sure the compressor works and hopefully it will just reset after i charge the system and then start to work on its own. The problem is that I cant figure out which Relay is for the AC, It is a Chev Chassis and there is a bank of about 5 relays under the engine cowling but I see no markings.
Does anyone know I can locate it without seperating all of the wires and tracing them back.
Thank You.
  • You have a high/low pressure switch, one in each line that controls the compressor. the one in the low is the one to jump.
  • Maybe I will try that, and see if the compressor works.
    Thanks.
  • I actually did put Freon in it the other day and i didn't notice if the line got cold and it is probably to late for that now.So the Freon is topped up and it still won't kick in. There is an indicator light on the AC panel and of course it isn't lit up. SO i was on UTube and saw one video showing how to bypass the the relay to see if the compressor and clutch actually do work.
  • I have just jumped 12V+ into the compressor to make sure it works.
    Good luck!
  • if it is low freon over riding won,t tell you anything, put a can of juice in it and see if the bigger ac line gets cold.
