A/C remote sensor?
Two ducted duo-therm A/C units on one thermostat control box. Both units would periodically stop running for 1-3 hours (intermittently trying to come on for a few seconds) and then come back on. Temperature in the bus usually didn't match what was on the monitor (too hot or too cold). Shop replaced the #1 unit control board (this one eveidently has an impact on functioning of #2 unit). Minimal difference. Next disconnected the remote sensor on #1 unit. All appears to be working properly now.
My question is do I need to replace the remote sensor? If it's not needed, why is it there in the first place? What am I missing here?
