Access to overhead bunk

I have a class c with no slide outs. I have a ladder to climb into the over head bunk which works fine except I can’t use it when the couch is folded out to make a bed. How do you then get in and out of the bunk?
  • Brilliant! Twin beds in the cab over? Extends into the coach,I guess. But why not?
  • had a 2001 born free , this guy showed us his, and you,d love what he did ,he split the overhead bed made a bed on each side and a ladder in the middle. said it took him some hours on figuring it out, but it turned out fantastic. you now slept long ways in the top bunk.
  • We had a Damon Escaper built on a Toyota one ton chassis with the same problem. We just stood on the Captain's chair that was located nest to the couch and rolled over backwards onto the bed. That was one of the reason that we HAD that MH instead of HAVE.

Man I'd love to see that!!
  • Without a photo or a floor plan can not address the question. Or even name & model of motorhome. Had a 19 foot Class C many years. Used a smallish step ladder to access the over cab bed. Jack bed did not trouble use of the ladder
    ~~ JM2¢ ~~ YMMV
