The RV driver admitted to seeing the warning signs. He claims at the time he saw the sign it only said "one lane" closed ahead. He tried to claim it was the fault of the sign because had it said "two lanes" closed he would have moved over. That's right. He made several comments to the press about what happened. He would have been better off saying nothing. As you said he admitted to seeing the sign a mile before the accident that said one lane was closed but, as the outcome shows, he did not even move out of that one lane.
