Also, I think you might be missing a few Pro's. It's not designed just to slow you down when you approach another vehicle, it can actually be set to a distance of your choice to follow another for increased MPG.
And depending on your age, you may want to think resale on a purchase of this type. It might matter to the next guy.
For me, I would most definitely want it in any car/truck/RV at this point on.
I did talk to the salesman and he confirmed that this feature can not be turned off. It will beep in traffic whenever you approach a car in front of you within a certain distance such as when you merge into a gap.
I doubt the system would allow a close enough user selectable gap to reduce fuel mileage, but maybe I could set the gap low enough to reduce the beeping. I'll check with the manufacturer to find out.
