Adding a rod holder to the basement

I have a 2006 Monaco Diplomat. On the ceiling of the basement, there is a drop down area running up the middle of the coach that looks like it is a chase. What is inside this area? I would like to ...

Unfortunately, there were no screws to remove a panel. It is a molded "U" shape. Looks like there are some bolts that might allow me to remove the whole thing, but I am not sure that view is worth the climb. Looks like the first suggestion will work fine, though.
