adding propane to an 'all electric coach'

Standard 5-gallons cylinder will run refrigerator for several seasons, so all it takes is finding a compartment where he can make venting holes at the bottom.
I think refrigerator will cost him quite a bit.
Funny on truck camper forum you will find lot of owners going the other direction. They dump propane refrigerators add solar panels and put compressor run refrigerators in.
Maybe those guys can exchange?

I think I would just add solar capable of his boondocking needs.

Seems king of limiting to me, but what do I know.

Our coach is all electric but a gas cook top was added by the previous owner. That was the deal maker for us as the DW hates cooking on an electric stove. No matter, the previous owner simply added a 20# bottle and ran the gas lines using flexible hosing. You could easily do the same but routing the gas line to the fridge area. You would certainly not need a 20# bottle, but maybe you also want to pipe in a connection to your gas grill and get rid of those expensive 1# bottles!

Add more batteries and another battery charger to shorten generator run time. No way would I go back to a absorption refer.

I have one on my 2004 camper.
They do exist, but cost money, so manufacturers are trying to nickle and dime the build.

It's not popular with everybody but the amount of fridge problems that I come across both in person, at the shop, and here on the net I would run not walk from 3 way fridges. All electric IS a bit more limiting in terms of boondocking, but MOST people do not boondock. Also, you can store several ice packs in a regular freezer that will keep things cold for a long time while on the road. In order to do what he wants, it's possible, but he will be looking at $1.2k for the fridge hoses, exhaust, etc.

Battery bank, inverter, solar are easier/cheaper than adding propane system and propane fridge

Far cheaper to add solar (or more solar). I'd consider LI batteries if the unit will not be used at -20 c (-4 f).
